Batch convert audio files in your browser

When a folder of audio needs a different format, repeated uploads add an unnecessary step. BatchCrunch reads supported media on your device and runs conversion in the browser. You can inspect one output before applying the same settings to the rest.

Open the audio workbench · Process three files per batch free. A $19 one-time licence removes the batch-count limit.

Convert a small batch first

  1. Open the workbench and add your files. The picker accepts MP3, WAV and M4A, subject to the codec and browser support.
  2. Select an available audio output format for the destination where the files will be used.
  3. Apply settings to all files when they share the same requirements, or adjust the selected file separately.
  4. Process the batch. The first audio run may take longer while the WebAssembly encoder downloads.
  5. Save the results with the download controls and listen to the beginning, middle and end of each file.

Choose the format for the destination

Check what the receiving application or device accepts before converting. A different extension is not automatically a better recording. Converting a lossy source to an uncompressed format cannot restore detail that was already discarded, and it may make the file much larger.

If you are preparing audio for further editing, retain the original and consider the requirements of the editor. If you are preparing delivery copies, check sound quality and size in the intended player. Do not delete your source files merely because an export completed.

Check more than the filename

Listen for a missing channel, unexpected silence, clipping or a truncated ending. Confirm the expected duration and that the destination application can open the file. An accepted extension does not guarantee that every codec variant can be decoded by every browser.

BatchCrunch adds -crunched to the original filename stem and uses the output extension. It does not currently provide a custom filename template or sequential renaming panel. Rename the saved files afterward if your delivery needs a naming convention.

Local processing and limits

Selected audio is not uploaded for conversion. Application assets and the encoder still need to load, and payment or feedback actions use the network. See how network requests are used.

Each input file must be at most 200 MiB, even with a licence. Processing speed and available memory depend on your device. Keep the tab open until the output is ready. When a conversion fails, isolate one file and try another supported format rather than repeatedly processing the entire folder.

The free batch is enough to compare real outputs before buying. Convert your first files, or read the complete workbench guide.

Activate your license

Paste the code from your purchase receipt, or a BCX- redeem code. The cap lifts the moment it checks out.
