Terms of Service

BatchCrunch batch compresses, converts, resizes, crops, filters and watermarks video, audio and image files entirely on your own device. These terms govern your use of batchcrunch.com and of any licence you buy. By using the site you accept them.

The free tier processes up to 3 files per batch and is not time-limited. A one-time licence of $19 removes the batch limit. It changes nothing else: every format, every edit and the full per-file size allowance are in the free tier already.

A licence is granted to one person for personal or business use, on as many of your own browsers as you like. You may not resell, sublicense, publish or share your key. Keys found to be shared publicly may be disabled.

Your key is emailed automatically to the address you used at checkout, from [email protected], normally within seconds of payment and in any case within 15 minutes. It arrives separately from the payment receipt. If it has not arrived in that window, write to us and we will resend it; if we cannot deliver a working key, you are entitled to a full refund.

Payments are processed by Waffo.com Limited, which acts as the reseller and merchant of record for the sale. Applicable sales tax or VAT is calculated and collected at checkout, and your receipt comes from them.

Refunds: within 14 days of purchase, on request, without needing a reason. Write to [email protected] from the address you used at checkout. When a refund is issued your right to use the paid tier ends and you agree to stop using the key. Because the free tier performs identical encoding, we encourage you to confirm the tool works on your files before buying.

You agree not to use BatchCrunch to process material that you do not have the right to process, and not to:

• infringe copyright, trademarks or other rights of a third party;
• handle content that is illegal where you are, including child sexual abuse material;
• circumvent digital rights management or technical protection measures;
• attempt to disable, bypass or tamper with the licence check.

Because your files never reach us, enforcing this is necessarily your responsibility rather than something we can monitor.

Processing happens locally and outputs are written only where you choose to save them. We hold no copy. Keep your originals. Compression is lossy by design and cannot be undone.

Encoding is performed by ffmpeg.wasm, a WebAssembly build of FFmpeg. That component is distributed under the GNU General Public License; it is shipped unmodified, and its source is available from the linked project. Your licence to BatchCrunch does not restrict any rights the GPL grants you in respect of that component.

The service is provided as is. Encoding results depend on your browser, your hardware and the input file, and we do not warrant that every file will process successfully or that the site will be uninterrupted. Browser memory limits mean files above 200 MB are rejected rather than attempted.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of BatchCrunch is limited to the amount you paid for your licence. We are not liable for lost data, lost profits, or indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and statutory consumer rights in your country are unaffected.

We may change these terms; the date above will change with them, and continued use is acceptance. We may suspend a licence that is being shared publicly or used to attack the service. You may stop using BatchCrunch at any time.
